As the Festive Season is just around the corner, it’s making us crave all of our favourite decadent desserts. So, we thought we’d share our take on the famous black forest cake in the form of a smoothie with collagen. Not only is it one easy way to increase your daily protein intake, but it’s bursting with antioxidants to support a healthy gut and glowing skin.
Serves 1
Cook time: 2 minutes
Dietary: Gluten-free, dairy free, protein-rich
Ingredients
- 250ml Unsweetened almond milk (we love this one)
- 2 tbsp Chief Dark Chocolate Collagen Protein
- 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
- 1/2 cup frozen banana
- 1 handful of ice
- 1 tbsp natural almond butter
- 1 tsp cacao nibs, to garnish
Method
- Add all ingredients (excluding cacao nibs) to a high-powered blender, and blend for 30 seconds or hit the smoothie option.
- Pour into a tall glass and enjoy with a reusable straw.
