A ‘gut-loving’ grown-up twist on the roll-ups we grew up with. Packed with fresh fruit & whole-food ingredients, they’re a fun and wholesome snack for kids (and let’s be real, adults too).

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh/frozen berries (1 cup strawberries + 1 cup raspberries)
  • ½ a lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 handful baby spinach
  • 1 tsp Chief Nutrition liver powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness of fruit)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 130°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Add the berries, spinach, chia seeds and liver powder to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth (add a splash of water if needed to help blend berries).
  3. Pour mixture into a saucepan. Stir in lemon juice, vanilla extract and honey/maple syrup (if using). Sprinkle gelatin powder over mixture, and warm gently over low-medium heat. Use a whisk to stir the gelatin and make sure there are no lumps.
  4. Once the gelatin has dissolved, pour the mixture onto the tray and spread into an even thin layer (thin but not see-through, you may need 2 trays to spread mixture out evenly)
  5. Bake /dehydrate for around 2 hours, or until it feels dry and no longer tacky to the touch.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into strips and rolling them up.
  7. Storage tip: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
