When life gets busy, meals are the first thing to slip — leading to hunger, low energy, and poor choices. This is a real food meal, made fast.
What’s inside (and what’s not):
Mix 1 serve (60 g) with 350 mL of cold water or milk of your choice. Shake well and enjoy (a Chief shaker is a good idea as it is a large serve).
To reduce plastic, we don’t include a scoop. Simply use 6 level tablespoons (based on a 15 mL tablespoon, the international standard. Grab a stainless steel measuring scoop if you'd like a more accurate measure).
Tip: Best enjoyed chilled - use cold water or add ice for optimal taste.

Made for Pack Flippers
If you ever flip the pack to check the back, you care about what you put into your body, and we do too.
You might be surprised by what’s really inside some of the top-selling meal replacement shakes. Look closely and you'll find a cocktail of ultra-processed junk your body doesn’t need and they're all things we leave out:
Synthetic vitamins and minerals are often less bioavailable than food-based nutrients and can be easier to over consume in fortified products making them potentially harmful. They also lack the natural cofactors found in whole foods that help the body absorb, transport, convert, and use them properly. For daily nutrition, real food sources usually provide a safer, more balanced nutrient package.
Like sucralose and acesulfame potassium which are linked to gut disruption and long-term health concerns.
Like soy lecithin are ultra-processed and often completely unnecessary.
Including tartrazine and Allura Red, banned or restricted in parts of the world. Many products just list "flavours" without specifying where they're from.
Like maltodextrin used to mask cheap ingredients, as a bulking agent to save cost and extend shelf life. But, it spikes blood sugar faster than table sugar and may also disrupt gut bacteria.
Customer Reviews
Protein powder is great when you just want extra protein, but it only gives you protein and not much else.
Chief Meal Shake is different. It’s designed to be more like a complete, convenient meal - with protein, fibre, healthy fats, real food vitamins and minerals, and wholefood ingredients to help keep you full and nourished when life gets busy.
So, use a protein powder when you need a protein top-up to the rest of your meal.
Use Chief Meal Shake when you need something more filling, more nourishing, and a real meal by itself.
Most meal shakes are built with cheap protein isolates, synthetic vitamins, artificial sweeteners, gums, fillers and flavours.
Chief Meal Shake is different because it’s made with real food ingredients and no synthetic vitamins or minerals. Instead of relying on a synthetic vitamin premix, we use nutrient-dense ingredients like organic grass-fed beef liver, organic grass-fed beef spleen, spinach, kale, acerola, kelp, mushroom powder, cocoa, whey protein and collagen.
It’s designed to give you what most quick meals don’t: quality protein, real food nutrients, fibre, minerals and healthy fats - without sugar alcohols, artificial thickeners or synthetic fortification.
Yes, Chief Meal Shake can support weight loss when used as part of a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
It’s high in protein and fibre to help keep you full, with no artificial sweeteners or cheap fillers. That makes it a convenient option and far better than skipping meals because it won’t send you reaching for unhealthy snacks an hour later or bingeing when you eventually get to eat.
For best results, use it to replace a lower-quality meal or snack, not as a crash diet.
Our Meal Shake is made with real food ingredients like whey protein, collagen, milk powder, cocoa, prebiotic fibre, greens, liver, spleen, acerola and kelp. It also contains important nutrients including protein, iron, iodine, vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin D.
That said, it has not been specifically formulated as a prenatal or breastfeeding supplement, so we recommend checking with your doctor, midwife or dietitian before using it regularly during pregnancy or breastfeeding - especially if you are already taking a prenatal vitamin, iron supplement or iodine supplement.
It should be used as a convenient meal option to ensure you're getting enough nutrients, not as a replacement for a varied pregnancy or breastfeeding diet.
Yes, it can be suitable for kids as part of a balanced diet, especially for busy mornings, after sport, or when they need a more nourishing option than a sugary snack.
Because it is high in protein and contains added vitamins and minerals from whole food ingredients like liver, spleen, greens and kelp, we recommend starting with a smaller serve for children rather than a full adult serve.
For young children, children with allergies, or kids on supplements already, it’s best to check with a health professional first. Contains milk.
The Meal Shake is designed with gut health in mind:
The Chief Meal Shake is designed to replace a full meal. Common uses include:
Yes. The Meal Shake is suitable for daily use as part of a balanced diet. However, as the label states it's not intended as a total diet replacement. It should form part of a varied, healthy diet.
Yes, you can use Chief Meal Shake in simple recipes like smoothies, overnight oats, yoghurt bowls, protein balls, pancakes, muffins and healthy desserts.
Because it contains whey protein, collagen, fibre, cocoa and real food ingredients, it may change texture when heated - especially in baking. For best results, we recommend using it in recipes with enough moisture and avoiding very high heat for long periods. It works best as a nourishing add-in, not a direct 1:1 replacement for flour.
And, you can add it to hot drinks, but we recommend mixing it carefully.
For the smoothest result, first mix 1 serve with a small amount of cold water or milk to make a paste, then slowly add hot water or warm milk while stirring or frothing.
Avoid adding boiling water directly to the powder, as this can affect the texture and make it clump. It’s best enjoyed warm rather than boiling hot.
The 23 vitamins and minerals in the Chief Meal Shake come from real food ingredients rather than isolated synthetic vitamins and mineral premix. Sources include:
Beef organ meats are some of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. Organic Grass-Fed Beef Liver and Spleen Powders are included as real food sources of heme iron (the most bioavailable form of iron), B vitamins (especially B12), and other micronutrients. This is how the Meal Shake delivers non-synthetic vitamins and minerals - sourced directly from whole foods in the form your body recognises, rather than isolated synthetic additives made in a lab.
It's an odourless, tasteless, dairy free protein source that's a co-product of beef. We like it because it's a great environmentally friendly option and easier on the gut than other proteins. There's now a large body of evidence showing it's beneficial for gut health, joint and tendon health, recovery and hair, skin and nails.
Whey protein concentrate is a natural protein powder made by filtering liquid whey to remove some of the water, lactose, and fat, leaving behind a protein-rich powder. It contains about 70–80% protein, along with beneficial fats, lactose, and bioactive compounds that support muscle growth, recovery, energy, and overall health.
When mixed with cold water it tastes like a chocolate milkshake!
Yes, only 2.8g comes from Coconut Sugar. The remainder is naturally occurring sugar from whole food ingredients - primarily from Milk Powder.
There is no refined cane sugar and no sugar alcohols.
