This is amazing. I've been taking this product for weeks now. I've gone from being in great pain and not really able to walk even with painkillers. This is a great product and was exactly what I needed... just clean collagen!!!... Collagen isn’t a complete protein in the same way whey is, because it doesn’t contain meaningful amounts of L-tryptophan which is one of the nine essential amino acids your body can’t produce on its own.
But that doesn’t mean collagen can’t be used as a daily protein supplement, or that it has no role in supporting muscle and recovery. Collagen is still protein; it simply has a different amino acid profile.
Where collagen really shines is that it’s naturally rich in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline - amino acids that are important building blocks for connective tissue, including tendons, ligaments, joints, skin, hair and the gut lining.
Protein supplements are designed to supplement your diet, not replace all other sources of protein. So if you’re eating a varied wholefood diet that includes foods like meat, eggs, dairy, fish, nuts or seeds, you’re very unlikely to be relying on collagen as your only source of essential amino acids - including L-tryptophan.
